MimirBot

What it is

MimirBot is the web crawler of Mimir, a B2B sales platform from Mimir Vision AB in Sweden. It reads public pages on company websites to understand what a company does, for example whether it is hiring and which career or online store platform it uses.

It identifies itself with this User-Agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MimirBot/1.0; +https://www.mimir.vision/bot)

How it behaves

• It follows robots.txt, including Crawl-delay.
• It waits at least 1.5 seconds between requests to the same website.
• It reads a limited number of pages per website.
• It never logs in or submits forms.
• If your website refuses a request, it does not try to get around that.

Scheduled crawling comes from 195.201.137.225 and 2a01:4f8:1c1c:9d23::1. Single page visits can come from other addresses, with the same User-Agent and the same rules.

How to stop it

Add this to your robots.txt:

User-agent: MimirBot
Disallow: /

You can also email joakim@mimir.vision with your domain, and we will add it to our blocklist.
